Today US Mag introducing 23 year old professional model Jasmin Shojai. Jasmin has taken the world by storm in a space of just over 2 years. The star was awarded ‘Australia’s Top Glamour Model of 2017’ in just her second year of modeling. She has since been featured in the news and media across the world. She has also been published in over 40 magazines, ranging from America’s Maxim, Playboy Sweden, Playboy South Africa and FHM Taiwan just to name a few. The supermodel has already played 2 main female roles in two music videos. And will further pursue a career path as a professional actress whilst continuing with modelling.

US Mag : We been hearing a lot about you, so we notice your starting to gain a lot of attention how does it feel?
It feels very good, with people in the industry and in the public recognizing me, and my achievements. I also feel that alot of hard work has been paid off. I can definitely say it’s been an amazing journey and I cannot wait for the many more exciting things to come.
US Mag : Please tell us about yourself & why you decided to work as a model ?
My name is Jasmin Shojai, I am 23 years old. I have a mixed background being half German and half Persian. I am very passionate about my career as a model and I am aspiring to be a professional actress one day.
I have always wanted to be a professional model since I was 17. As I was growing up, the models I saw in magazines and in fashion shows on TV, really inspired me. These women were very empowering to me. I did my first professional photo shoot 2 years ago and I enjoyed it so much. Since that moment I have pursued a career in modelling and have never looked back since.
US Mag : What is the best and worst thing about being a model ?
There are a lot of amazing things about being a model. You get to meet so many different people of different roles; photographers, stylists, makeup artists and so on. You get to travel a lot. And you get to perform and show the world what you can do. I guess the only worst thing I can think of is the challenges that you face. The industry undoubtedly is very competitive. You have to be confident in yourself and persistent. One piece of advice I give to people is never give up and always practice. Practicing perfects your skills and helps build your confidence.
US Mag : What are your goals as a model ?
There is so much that I want to achieve. I have appeared in many internationally known magazines. And one of my upcoming goals would be to land on a cover of a major magazine. I want to build my public presence and brand to a point where I am internationally known. That is definitely one of my biggest goals, which I am sure I will achieve one day. I am looking to further my skills in cat walking and walk for a major fashion parade. I know so far that I am walking in 2 fashion shows this year which I am so excited about. So I hope to do a lot more cat walking further down the track as well.
US Mag : How would you describe your personal style? Where do you pull your inspiration from ?
My personal style is all about looking classy, stylish and sensual too of course. I pull my inspiration from a lot of today’s fashion and celebrities. I get a lot of my inspiration from fashion and celebrities in the past too. To me a lot of the fashion from the past is absolutely stunning. I incorporate a lot of past and present fashion elements into my own personal style, and wardrobe. I get a lot of inspiration from the 90’s comedy ‘The Nanny’, Vogue Magazine, Keeping up with the Kardashians, The Fresh Prince of Belair and the movie Maid in Manhatten. These are just some of the places where I really admire the fashion that’s portrayed.
US Mag : Do you have any hidden talents ?
I love to do hair and makeup. For some of my gigs I have done my own hair and makeup. It is alot of fun and I find it very creative. I love having different looks and experimenting. It makes it more interesting to do my hair and makeup differently for different events. In terms of other talents, I love public speaking, I believe it is also a skill as well as a talent. It definitely is useful, being a model and an upcoming actress. And like most things, you get better at it with practice. I am also athletic. I love long distance running and sprinting, and find that I am pretty good at it.
US Mag : What’s your feelings when you awarded ‘Australia’s Top Glamour Model of 2017’?
Before it was announced to the public, I remember getting a phone call from the director of the competition. I remember them telling me that I had won the title and truely earnt it. I was so overwhelmed and so happy. It was truely an amazing feeling to be told that I earnt this national title.
US Mag : Any upcoming plans as a actress ?
I will be starting acting school soon. Which I am very excited about. I know that this will professionally train me for future roles in movies and Tv. At the moment I have been doing main roles in music videos which is a great start. I have experience in speaking roles and even modelling in professionally filmed videos. I have a bit of experience in commercials as well. I believe the next step from here will definitely be working with my agent to apply for roles in more projects. Whether that would be for major or short films, or TV shows.
US Mag : Five things you can’t live without ?
My mobile phone, internet, my loved ones, my contact lenses and my pet cockatiels.
US Mag : Where do you see yourself in five to 10 years’ time ?
I see myself as a very successful model, potentially internationally recognized. I also see myself actively working as an actress, playing roles in movies and in Tv series.
