US Mag Blog: Tell us a little bit about yourself. Your background, education, writing passion etc. ??
Well Hello! My name is Glend Martinez. I am from Miami, Fl and I’m currently in school for computer engineering. I never thought I’d get into writing but honestly it’s so freeing and it’s helped me navigate through a lot of depressive episodes. I am naturally charismatic and have always been a good story-teller so the two came hand in hand when I was writing my book.
US Mag Blog: We been hearing a lot about you so we notice your starting to gain a lot of attention how does it feel?
I’m not used to it in the slightest lol. In fact, every day I wake up and a new blog or page has reached out to me to feature me. It’s amazing. I never thought I’d get this type of attention but I’m eternally grateful.
US Mag Blog: Great, Can you please tell us more about your book “Chronicles of a Gay Boy: X“??
Chronicles of a Gay Boy: X is a bio fiction book based on my life. It starts with the obstacles I faced being a gay teenager. I fall in love with a boy which I’ve nicknamed X and our love rollercoaster begins. I hit a lot of subjects that aren’t really talked about in popular media and many have come back with good feedback.
US Mag Blog: Why do you choose this name for your book?
It just sounds catchy. Whenever something would happen to me, I would say “This is the glend chronicles” and that eventually led to “aw my gay boy chronicles”. This is a series and X is the first book of a six book series.
US Mag Blog: As an writer, what has been one of the most exciting achievements of your career so far ?
Honestly, today someone told me that I am in the top 10% of self published authors and I think that’s amazing. I’ve been nominated for two awards and I was suggested to nominate myself for another award. I never thought my book would get this kind of attraction and yet here we are.
US Mag Blog: Nice, Any upcoming book?
Let’s just say there’s something in the works lol. I’m not going to keep my fans waiting for long.

School, work, spend time with my family and my dog Felony.
US Mag Blog: Where do you see yourself after 10 years?
I see myself with a husband and children. I see COAGB reaching a level of success that I never imagined and it eventually turning into a show. *Fingers crossed*
US Mag Blog: Your favourite Author?
Currently it’s Jennette McCurdy. Reading her book was such an amazing experience. I watched her growing up on iCarly so seeing her describe how miserable she was and the horrible experiences she went through made me so empathetic with her. All I wanted to do was hug her when I was reading the book. It totally made me change the way I see child actors now.
