Tony Solis talks about his upcoming short film “Strings”, in candid interview

US Mag: Tell us a little bit about yourself. Your background, education, your passion etc. ??

Well I’m 26 years old. Not much to say other than I grew up on films. Movies were a big part of my childhood. Reenacting scenes, quoting movies were literally all me and my siblings did. I guess acting is starting to feel second nature to me because of it. I’ve taken Improv classes and currently still work with my mentor Actor, Writer, and Filmmaker Blake Worrell. I’ve been working with Mr. Worrell since the beginning of the year and since then have grown a bigger passion in acting.

US Mag: We been hearing a lot about you, so we notice your starting to gain a lot of attention how does it feel?

Its definitely different then getting your name tagged in a post that’s for sure. I can’t say that I’ve ever had the privilege before. It feels great, means I’m getting noticed. Especially after putting in work. Lots and lots of work.

US Mag: Please tell our readers more about your previous work ” Golden Repair, Circumstances 2″ etc..

I’d like to say Golden Repair will be my first short film I’ll never forget. First one out of the gate. First time I’ve given a one shot monologue. Golden Repair is about a bully learning the consequences of his actions. I play the father of who was getting bullied. In the aftermath of what happened after his characters son was pushed too far. It begins with the father confronting the bully.

Circumstances 2 will be my first film I’ve ever had the privilege of being a part of. Featuring Jamal “Gravy” Woolard and Directed by Swift Sloan from Swift Motion Pictures. Follows the events of the first film. The main character, Keyshawn Watson, comes home to his family living in a bad situation. Feeling the need to step up and take care of them, he makes a series of bad decisions. In Circumstances 2, you see Keyshawn Watson living life after these events. I play a minor role as a US Marshal. This film will be having its theater debut November 28th in Marcus North Shore Cinema Mequon, WI.

US Mag: Any upcoming project?

I will be filming in December another short film called “Strings” A horror/fantasy. Really excited for this one. Along with collaborating with several artists In WI. They are like minded individuals who want to produce content on a regular basis. Some really cool things are coming next year. Can’t wait!

US Mag: What has been one of the most exciting achievements of your career so far ?

To be honest this would be the most exciting achievement so far. One can dream but to live a tiny fraction of it is amazing! I honestly couldn’t have imagined getting this far without the support I get from everyone at home.

US Mag: What’s your goal in life you want to achieve next?

I’d say the next achievement would be to atleast contribute to a film project a month. Right now some would argue that the film industry is changing. It is, but I believe we change with it. I’ll find a way. If your determined enough you can make it. That’s what I’m out there trying to do. Make it.

US Mag: What motivates you to do your best work as a actor?

The better I can be the better the story comes to life. Theres something magical when being drawn into a film. That is what motivates me. One can only get better!

US Mag: Your fav. Quote?

Everyone has goals, only achievements are earned.

US Mag: Best moment of your life?

US Mag: Everybody needs time out. What do you do in your free time?
